Australia’s Largest Research Entity Adds Zeetings as New Social Content Sharing Platform

Sleek new “any device, anywhere” content sharing solution enhances dialog at large governmental institution CSIRO

Australia's largest science and technology research entity, Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO), recently added Zeetings to its suite of enterprise solutions. CSIRO is a government-funded group charged with using science to shape the future and make a difference to people, industry, and the planet. The group has 55 locations across Australia, with over 10,000 members and partners dispersed across the country at locations ranging from high-speed internet-connected downtown offices to off-site research posts with little connectivity.

Since it started as the CSIR in 1926, the organization has led Australia forward with a range of inventions and innovations that gone on to improve the lives of people around the world. The top ten inventions noted to date are 1. WIFI, 2. Plastic Banknotes, 3. The Equivac HeV: Hendra virus vaccine, 4. Extended wear contact lenses, 5. Aerogard, 6. Total Wellbeing Diet, 7. RAFT polymerization, 8. BARLEYmax, 9. Self-twisting yarn, 10. Softly washing liquid. This list shows the wide array of solutions, invented and support by the organization.

The nature of its CSIRO's work means that the computing setup of its members and partners is incredibly diverse CSIRO has selected Zeetings because of its functional power and ability to provide powerful conversation sharing, insight and engagement in meetings and large presentations, with great simplicity.

"Our team needs were clear: we wanted something simple that would work on any laptop or phone. Ideally, this solution wouldn't require a download, and would allow easy access to internal briefings and sessions as well as staff interaction and response," said Oona Nielsen, General Manager of CSIRO.

While in search of an interactive content sharing solution that didn't require a download, most software candidates were nixed immediately. CSIRO instead turned to Zeetings, a next-gen social presentation platform that provides an interactive collaboration experience accessible via any connected device. Zeetings doesn't require the user to download or install software and works on "any device, anywhere," making it the perfect solution for onboarding people across different computing setups, connectivity levels, and environments.

Zeetings features many of the capabilities that extended the impact of PowerPoint, PDF and other presentation content authoring tools. Each and every Zeeting becomes its own separate, social content group. Each member of such group can participate from his or her own device - whether in-person or remotely, in real-time or on one's own time. Users can ask questions, post comments, take notes, share files, and voice their opinions using simple feedback tools like voting and polling. The flexibility and simplicity of Zeetings makes it a perfect fit for an organization like CSIRO.

An added bonus is that Zeetings tracks every interaction, and relays data-driven insights about the community. "It's really transformed the way we communicate. Instead of one-way messages, we're able to have two-way conversations that enhance productivity collaboration across our entire organization," added Ms. Nielssen.

And CSIRO isn't alone - a number of noteworthy companies including HP, eBay, Deloitte, and Ikea have taken advantage of Zeetings' unique capabilities. Businesses both large and small need versatile tools that can adapt to their ever-changing needs, and Zeetings stands out with its "no software, any device, anywhere" solution.#
